Portfolio - UHI NC Art & Design Portfolio

I started an NC in Art & Design Portfolio (terrible qualification name) in 2020 when I was 17. I hated it and decided that under no circumstances would I be doing an art degree afterwards, but I did create a lot of work during that time.

Spacescapes

These are all acrylic paint on wooden boards of various and potentially dubious provenance. I am not sure from whom they were acquired and I neglected to ask at the time.

Luminance

For one of the course modules, I had to work on a project with a theme. I chose luminance. I wanted to think about how things might glow.

I can only apologise for the fact these are the only images I have and I have not yet got round to extricating the paintings from my parents' house.

Sketchbook

For the project, I created a sketchbook exploring the theme.

I was heavily inspired by Alexander Semenov's jelly photography, particularly the Cyanea photos.

Photobashing

Once I had decided what I wanted to do, I did a rough digital collage with images I probably stole and used that as my base. Then I painted over the top. I was probably using Photoshop back then as I had access through UHI but Fuck Adobe.
